IMPORTANCE OF ONE’S NAME

IMPORTANCE OF ONE’S NAME

Regards to my elders

Greetings ladies and gentlemen

Aloha friends. Thought I might tell you. Aloha is included in the state nickname of Hawaii. The Aloha State. What further is interesting that the people from Hawaii use ‘ Aloha ‘ to greet each other. Well, it will be like greeting my friends with an  ‘India India’ chant. This is starting to annoy me as well but this will be the ceremony. Proper respects and acknowledgements to Dale Carnegie from whose book ‘ How to win friends and Influence People ‘ I am taking my ideas. What does a person hold in his name. IMPORTANCE OF ONE’S NAME.

DO THIS AND YOU ARE SURE TO GET RESPECT FROM OTHER

Dale Carnegie

Mr Dale says, if you are not greeting people with a smile and by his name, you are heading in serious trouble. James Farley (1888-1976) one of the most gifted politicians of America had a lot in helping Franklin Roosevelt to win the presidency elections. During Roosevelt’s campaign he would go to the states to meet with thousands people. When he came back he wrote back letters to each one of them by addressing them by their name and in the end signing ” Jim”. No wonder he was one of the best politicians in America. He must have known that an average person values his name and its sound more than anything else in the world. Remembered a name and then using it to greet the same person  a month later will feel like a compliment to that person but misspell or forget it than you are at a disadvantage.

Dale Carnegie

People are so proud of their names. It arouses in them a feeling of Importance. We as youth forget the names of other friends. Well it would be awkward if youth walks around with a chain of their names on the necks. Napoleon the third, nephew to the Great Napoleon too had the gift of remembering names. If he had to remember name of some important person, he wrote that name on a paper, concentrate on it and then tore it.  Doing this, Mr Carnegie says, you get ear as well as eye impression. Starting by greeting and a smile in a business meet or any deal can ensure the further talk in the meet is of importance.

Some names are difficult to pronounce. You should not ignore or forget it. One should ask the other to pronounce it again or spell it. Remember, one’s name holds a very importance names in ones identity. If humans did not have name, we would have no identity. A name sets a person apart. It describes its uniqueness and represents his soul. So, the next time you meet a person make sure to remember his name and then make him jump whenever you meet later by greeting him by his name. And then see how wonders work in your way.

Respects to Dale Carnegie and acknowledgements to Pocket Books International.
